There are still tickets for Saturday’s annual gala for the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey.
Last year’s event sold out as early as July, but the organization is struggling to sell out this year.
Interim Community and Fund Development Co-ordinator Shannon Drainville says this year’s gala should be lots of fun and very glamourous, with the theme “Red Carpet Celebrity Gala.”
She says they’re expecting lots of long gowns and glitz and glamour.
There will be a silent and live auction as well as three elimination prizes.
The grand prize will be a trip for two to Las Vegas.
Other prizes include tickets to a live show in Toronto and a dining/theatre/hotel package in Mississauga.
The big feature in the live auction is a hockey stick signed by all the members of the 2010 Team Canada Olympic Gold Medal Women’s Hockey Team.
Drainville says the gala is the largest fundraiser the Women’s House does each year, and she says they depend on the fundraising done to help deliver services to women and children in the community.

The Red Carpet Celebrity Gala takes place tonight at the Best Western Governor’s Inn Kincardine.
Doors open at 5:30 PM with dinner beginning at 7 PM.
