Georgian College’s Owen Sound Campus had their Fall convocation on Thursday and 75 students graduated.
Associate Dean of the Campus Donna Jansen says that brings the number of Georgian College Alumni to an estimated 50 thousand.
The students were from the College’s Education, Nursing and Business programs.
The majority of nursing students we spoke have already found work in their chosen field.
Numerous nursing student’s landed jobs at hospitals in Owen Sound and Wiarton.
A few more say they have part time jobs at numerous nursing homes in the Bruce Grey and Wellington counties.
Georgian College’s President and CEO Brian Tamblyn spoke to the grads in front of friends and family.
He said the Colleges new strategic plan, Vision 2015, challenges staff to be the most personally connected college in Ontario — adding they do it one student at a time.
