It is the time to get your pet protected against rabies.
The Owen Sound Animal Shelter offering their annual rabies clinic today.
The Head of the Owen Sound Animal Shelter — Renee Robbins — says it is the law that all dogs, cats and horses need to be vaccinated against the disease.
And Robbins is quick to add with the high number of rabies cases having been reported this past year in Grey Bruce in skunks — it is even more important we remain vigilant on this vaccination for our pets.
Robbins asks thats the cats and dogs that are brought to the clinic are in good health, not senior animals, not pregnant or lactating.
The Owen Sound clinic happens at the animal shelter at 2125 18th Avenue East on Saturday from 10 AM until 3 PM.
Robbins says the cost is 25-dollars per animal — although 3 or more pets are 20-dollars each.
All payments must be cash.
