A formidable safety record at Bruce Power has come to an end.
Community and Government Relations Manager Ross Lamont told Bruce County Councillors on Thursday, the company had compiled 23 million person hours without an acute long term injury.
Unfortunately, that run has come to an end.
Lamont says a worker suffered a wrenched back in a slipping incident, a couple of weeks ago.
He says it was minor and something that could have happened just as easily in a home environment.
But it did set the clock back to zero and Lamont says the company hopes another similar safety run is now underway.
Lamont says Bruce Power continues to be proud of its safety record and its most recent achievement was something any company could be proud of.
