As preparations continue for Pumpkinfest weekend in Port Elgin — the court case against the former Co-ordinator has been put over to next month.
Lisa Irwin of Kincardine Township faces 25 charges including fraud, forgery and theft over five thousand dollars.
Her case is scheduled to return to Walkerton court on October 25th.
The 32 year old Irwin was charged in July after a lengthy police investigation in connection with discrepancies regarding the Pumpkinfest bank account.
She is accused of doctoring financial statements that allowed the suspect to channel 67 thousand dollars over two years into her personal account.
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce says it has established checks and balances to make sure the problem doesn’t happen again.
