The municipality of Brockton is starting to develop a Recreation and Leisure Master Plan looking ahead some twenty five years.
They hope to identify the community needs and priorities as they relate to parks, trails, horticulture, open space, rec facilities and leisure services.
IBI Group, F.J. Galloway Associates, Inc and Insights of London have been retained to work with the committee for plan development.
The major initiative of the first phase of the plan is a series of public and community consultation activities.
There will also be a household survey, discovery sessions group or individual written briefs and an online survey.
There is also a public meeting tonight starting at 7 PM at the Walkerton Community Center,
They want to hear from residents of all ages and interests about how they see the delivery of rec and leisure services needs and priorities, the role of volunteers and community organizations.
Residents are encouraged to get involved in the master planning process through consultation programs, community workshops.
Project consultants hope that residents will be very active in the development of this important long term planning tool for Brockton.
