The Grey and Bruce County CAS operations are going to become one.
Following a review of a feasibility study on integration, the Boards of Directors for both Societies approved in principle the full consolidation of the offices.
Grey County CAS Executive Director Phyllis Lovell says this doesn’t mean there will only be one organization next week, in fact she says the consolidation is not likely to be completed until the spring of 2012.
No new name has been agreed upon, and Lovell doesn’t know who will run the combined CAS group.
While Lovell is the Grey county Executive director, Shaun Jolliffe is the Bruce county CAS Executive director.
Board directors agreed that any savings through the amalgamation will be put back into services, and any jobs will be lost through attrition so no people will be put out of work.
The new organization will have a combined budget of over twenty-million dollars.
