Kincardine is going to come alive with strategically placed pinwheels soon.
Tuesday, September 21st is the International Day of Peace and the participants of Community Living Kincadine & District have been organizing a Pinwheels for Peace Day.
Spokesperson Cher Brown says the group’s residents have been planting pinwheels with messages of peace in various locations in Kincardine.
Brown says there will be over 100 pinwheels located throughout downtown Kincardine.
She calls it a peaceful art display.
In the weeks leading up to this day, residents have been invited to draw pictures of what peace means to them and on the back some written words on what peace means to them.
Members of the community living group then turned them into pinwheels for display on this Day of Peace.
Pinwheels will likely be seen in Victoria Park, the boardwalk gardens, the municipal administration building and the Davidson Centre.
