Not much support from Bayshore Broadcasting Listeners for the Long Gun Registry.
A majority of callers to Bayshore Broadcasting News say its time to get rid of the registry and stop criminalizing ordinary Canadians.
Twenty callers say get rid of the registry and only two thought it should be kept.
Those wanting it eliminated say it does nothing to address the problem of illegal guns, which are used to commit the majority of crimes in this country.
Another caller suggested the 2 billion dollar cost of the registry could have been used to help out our ailing health care system.
Another caller stated that the registry is nothing more than a cash grab.
