Get your motor running — it’s the 4th Annual Poker Run for Autism.
Close to 200 bikers are expected in Hanover today as motorcycle enthusiasts from across Ontario rally together to raise money for kids.
Organizer Anita Maahs says there are two Poker Runs this year.
One spans 190 kilometres and for the die hard riders — there is a 290 kilometre run.
The poker run stretches across the region and ends at the Queen’s Bush Pub in Hanover where a party will follow complete with a large outdoor tent and live musical entertainment.
Maahs hopes to surpass last year’s fundraising success of 8 thousand dollars.
Along with the poker run, there will also be an auction, 50-50 draw and door prizes.
All proceeds will go to the Grey Bruce Society for Autism to support local families with children with autism.
Maahs says bikers make great fundraisers because they love to ride and they are always eager to support a worth cause.
But she notes you don’t have to be a motorcyclist to join in the fun since everyone is welcome to the evening party at the Queen’s Bush Pub.
