The first ever Kite Jam ready to take flight in Sauble Beach.

One of the organizers Allan Gibbons says part of the featured events are kite boarding races and professional kite flying.
The Kiteboarders come from across the province as Sauble beach is one of the premiere destinations in the world for the sport.
Gibbons says the water is shallow enough and the conditions are windy enough to make it the perfect combination.
Gibbons says the event also will feature professional kit flyers manovering huge 4 man kites.
The event is in hopes of extending the tourist season at Sauble Beach past labour Day weekend.
The event also has a live country and rock concert on the main beach starting at 7 PM.
The kiteboarding and flying starts around 1 PM Saturday depending on the winds.
