The all clear has been given at the Southampton hospital, following an outbreak of the bacteria MRSA.
Grey Bruce Health Services says the outbreak in the in-patient unit at Saugeen Memorial Hospital is over.
Last Tuesday, the inpatient unit was closed to new admissions as a precautionary measure after five patients tested positive for MRSA.
Officials say no in-patients actually became sick with an infection associated with the bacteria.
Grey Bruce Health Services clinical and medical leaders have worked closely regarding the management of patients requiring medical care and treatment during the outbreak.
Even with the outbreak being declared over, strict hand hygiene protocols will continue to be encouraged on the unit, including for visitors.
