High winds and waves have forced the Big Canoe into the harbour at Tobermory.
Roy Warder at Owen Sound Transportation says the conditions are not good between Tobermory and South Baymouth today.
As a result, the 7 AM Chi Cheemaun crossing had to return to Tobermory and officials then cancelled the 9:10 AM return crossing from South Baymouth.
Warder says they have also cancelled crossings at 11:20 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:40 PM and will decide later about the 8 PM crossing from Tobermory, depending on the weather.
Customers are told to call ahead to see when service will resume.
Meanwhile, the evening dinner cruise on the Chi cheemaun is also cancelled.
