It’s the last long weekend of the summer and Police are reminding you not to take time off from safety.
Officers will be out in full force patrolling the highways, waterways and trails — targeting aggressive drivers and marine operators.
So far this year, 205 people have died in traffic related fatalities in Ontario on OPP patrolled roadways as compared to 199 in 2009.
Marine fatalities are down in 2010 to 17 to date as compared to 27 in 2009.
As a whole the Police ask that everyone act responsibly while out enjoying his upcoming holiday long-weekend so we make it a safe one.
