It’s an opportunity for residents in the Lion’s Head and Sauble Beach to get rid of the garbage that could be considered hazardous.
Both centres will be accepting household hazardous and special waste free of charge.
Lion’s Head residents can drop of their waste at the Northern Bruce Peninsula Works Yard, just north of the community from 8 AM to 10 AM.
Then from Noon to 2:30 PM — the garbage is being accepted at the Amabel Works Yard in Sauble Beach.
Items being accepted include batteries of all types, pool chemicals; pesticides, bluorescent bulbs, pain, solvents, oils and gas.
Commercial, agricultural, industrials wastes are not being accepted.
