It’s the start of another hot weekend in Grey Bruce — and there is bad news for swimmers.
The Durham Middle Dam has now been Posted as Unsafe for swimmng.
The Grey Bruce Health unit says Beach water sampling from Wednesday shows levels exceeding Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards for acceptable bacterial levels.
As a result, the area is posted and remain posted until samples indicate that water is safe for swimming again.
Two other area beaches are also posted as unsafe for swimming, Lion’s Head beach in North Bruce Peninsula, and Station Park Beach in Kincardine…
Both of those beaches have been posted unsafe for several days.
