Two Owen Sound residents have been arrested on drug and weapons charges after a search of a home.
Owen Sound Police inspector Steve MacKinnon says officers from the drug unit found 58 hundred dollars worth of marijuana at a west side home on Wednesday.
However, police were more concerned when they uncovered weapons in the house.
Officers found a sawed off shotgun, and a 22 calibre semi-automatic rifle that looked like an M-16 military style weapon.
Neither weapon was registered and the rifle was found in a tent bag.
A husband and wife — both 43 years old — face 8 charges including production of marijuana, possession of the proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibitied weapon.
The two accused will be in Owen Sound court on September 23rd.
