Yet another beach has been closed — and posted as Unsafe for swimming.
Water sampling from Monday at Lions Head Beach, shows levels exceeding Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards for acceptable bacterial levels.
As a result, the Grey Bruce Health unit has posted Lion’s Head beach as unsafe, and it will remain posted until samples show the water is safe for swimming again.
Meanwhile, Station Park Beach at Kincardine remains closed for swimming. It has been posted since August 6th.
All other beaches in the immediate area are open for swimming.
Beach information is posted on the Grey Bruce health unit website at www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca.
It is updated as conditions change.
