You’ve heard about the dangers of texting behind the wheel… well how about texting behind the handle bars.
Owen Sound Police say a 16 year old boy was riding his bicycle on 4th Avenue West near 15th Street West just before 11 AM Sunday.
Police say he was texting on his cell phone and not paying attention when he collided with the rear of a parked vehicle.
The boy was ejected from his bicycle, striking and smashing the rear window of the vehicle.
Police say he was transported by paramedics to Grey Bruce Health Services with minor injuries and was treated and later released.
He has been charged with Careless Driving.
