The Director of the Southampton Art Gallery and Shop is moving on.
Aly Boltman has decided to accept a position as the Facilities Manager at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound.
Boltman says she’s excited at working for another non-profit group that supports the arts, as the Roxy is run by the Owen Sound Little Theatre company.
She says it’s also closer to her home and she’ll be able to spend more time with her family.
Boltman calls Southampton a “goldmine” and see lots of opportunity in the future.
She says there are a lot of incredible artists and a very supportive, vibrant community.
She calls the possibilities “limitless.”
There are a few things Boltman would like to see come to fruition after she leaves the Gallery, including renovations for a larger space.
Boltman would also like to see her art rental program continue.
She will wrap up duties at the Southampton Art Gallery and Shop within the first two weeks of August, just after the Shilling Experience exhibition is up and running smoothly.
