A Walkerton custom metal fabricator company is one step closer to expansion.
Despite opposition from neighboring residents — Brockton has approved a minor variance which opens the doors to Price Schonstroms future expansion plans.
Price Schonstrom plans to build an 8 thousand square foot warehouse to house its equipment and provide more work space for employees.
Mayor Charlie Bagnato believes the expansion plans will actually address many of the concerns expressed by neighboring residents.
The expansion promises to alleviate both work being performed outside and the night shift.
Residents have complained about the appearance of company’s work yard and the noise coming from it.
Bagnato adds that residents will be kept apprise of the project and invited to attend future site plan meetings to ensure their concerns continue to be addressed.
With a 45 year history in Walkerton, Bagnato says Price Schonstrom is an important industry that employees 40 people.
