The Stone Tree Golf and Fitness Club in Owen Sound is ready to move forward.
Director of Operations Michael Todd says they have completed a thorough cleaning of the entire facility after a norovirus outbreak earlier this month.
The virus made 150 people sick after attending a wedding at Stone Tree on July 3rd.
Todd says they hired three companies to clean the facility.
Todd notes the Club has always been open to the public — just some areas were closed while the cleaning was done.
Todd notes they have also re-trained staff about food handling so they can ensure their high standards for food preparation.
Todd also wants to dispel myths that it was food poisoning that caused the norovirus.
He says they still don’t know how it occurred and may never know.
Todd says the exercise has been a good business practice and they are ready to move forward from the incident.
