There’s a new second of command at the Hanover Police Department.
A familiar face has returned to the Hanover Police Department.
Inspector Chris Knoll is excited to back on his old stomping ground.
Knoll began his policing career in Hanover as a co-op student before taking a part time constable position in 1992.
The graduate from Sacred Heart later joined the OPP in 1993.
Over a 17 year period — Knoll held many titles and posts in Bruce County, London, Wellington County and Grey County.
Knoll specialized in detective work with various crime units, and in 2008 was named Sergeant at the Markdale OPP Office.
For Knoll, coming back to Hanover professionally is a real treat.
Knoll says he and his family live in the area and have made strong connections with the community.
Knoll is also involved in Minor Hockey and Minor Soccer.
Knoll admits he has some big shoes to fill, as he replaces the recently retired Ron Shaidle.
Knoll calls it a privilege to serve the community and looks forward to working with the men and women of the Hanover Police Department.
