The Bruce County Household Hazardous and Special Waste Collection program continues.
This weekend, Wiarton and Tobermory area residents can get rid of potentially dangerous waste products safely and at no charge Saturday.
Wiarton residents can take their materials to the town of South Bruce Peninsula Works Garage on Elm Street from 8 AM to 11 AM.
Tobermory citizens can go to the St. Edmunds Landfill Site on McArthur Road from 1 PM to 3 PM.
Materials that will be accepted are those than can catch fire, react or explode when mixed with other substances, if it’s corrosive or it it’s toxic.
Items such as batteries, medicines, fluorescent bulbs and paint are just a few of the items that will be accepted.
Commercial, agricultural, industrial wastes will not be accepted.
