You’re going to hear sirens Wednesday morning.
Bruce Power will be testing the nuclear emergency public alerting sirens at 10 AM.
It’s part of the emergency preparedness exercises at the nuclear power plant.
All ten sirens located within three kilometres of Bruce Power will operate at full volume for about two minutes.
There’s no need to worry today when those sirens go off.
They are a part of the communication system used to notify residents who live within three kilometres of Bruce Power if there ever is any nuclear emergency.
