Some Saugeen Shores residents who had items pilfered from their vehicles lately are about to get some of it back.
Saugeen Shores police say a 21 year old Port Elgin man has been arrested shortly after a complaint was filed that someone was stealing from a vehicle.
Upon further investigation, police located numerous articles at an apartment on Ivings Drive most of which had been previously reported stolen from vehicle entries in Port Elgin and some in Southampton.
The items stolen ranged from cell phones, chargers, knives, sunglasses and GPS accessories, a personal breathalyzer and other personal items.
The accused faces several charges in connection with the incidents.
Police again remind you to “Lock it or lose it.”
They report there were only two actual break-ins to a shed and garage, all the rest of the homes or vehicles were unlocked when items were taken.
