Reports are now starting to filter in on just how busy police were over what many had as an extended long holiday weekend.
It was also prom night in many community.
Saugeen Shores police responded to 107 calls for service.
Fortunately, most were of the routine nature, involving liquor, stolen property and smoking marijuana.
Last Saturday a 23 year old Texas man found out the hard way that we take drinking and driving occurrences seriously.
There were 173 vehicles checked and he was charged with an impaired driving offence.
It was a busy weekend for Bruce Peninsula OPP as well with 171 calls logged.
Again most calls involved liquor offences, traffic and noise complaints.
However in one case, a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after an assault occurred on Lakeshore Boulevard in Sauble Beach just after midnight Friday.
Police are still investigating the matter.
