Two separate studies are being launched by the town of South Bruce Peninsula.
The Town is hiring two firms to do archaeological assessments.
Stage 1, and possible Stage 2 of the assessment on the Howdenvale road and Sunset drive project will be done by “Archaeological Research Associated Limited.”
The firm will also do an assessment on the Sideroad 15 bridge.
Meanwhile, South Bruce Peninsula has also engaged the firm of “Mayer Heritage Consultants” for the Wiarton Arena, Bluewater Park and Oliphant shoreline projects.
In a news release, officials say the assessments are a step toward meeting the requirements in specific funding agreements.
They also fulfill the aboriginal consultation process.
