A lot of people will be looking up Sunday between 9 AM and 10 AM.
That is when a vintage World War Two B25 bomber will fly over Owen Sound and land at the Billy Bishop Regional Airport.
The Mitchell Bomber is part of this year’s Wings and Wheels event at the airport which includes a fly in of dozens of private aircraft plus a classic automobile show.
Steve Meades is one of the organizers of the event which he says it a fundraiser for the Rotary Club’s Send a Kid to Camp program.
He says 100 per cent of the proceeds are used to help send underprivileged children to Camp Presquile for one week.
Meades says the camp sees about 700 young people attend each summer.
He says Sunday’s event will feature not just the World War two bomber, but a number of Canadian Harvard Training aircraft as well as numerous private aircraft and some experimental planes also.
Admission to the event is by donation and the Mitchell Bomber will be open for people to check out its interior.
The fly in and car show begins at 8 AM and continues until 4 PM.
