A piece of Canadian history continues to be filmed at Sauble Beach.
Crews from History Television Canada will be back on the beach after the rain today to continue shooting scenes for a docu-drama called “Storming Juno.”
Sauble is being used as Juno Beach in Normandy, France where Canadian soldiers came ashore on D-Day — June 6th, 1944 — during World War Two.
The film crews from Toronto are using a small portion of the beach on land owned by Saugeen First Nation.
In fact, some residents have called the OPP about loud noises — which it turns out has been sound effects like gunfire and explosions.
The crews hope to finish shooting at Sauble Beach tomorrow.
The 90 minute documentary will air on November 11th on History Television Canada.
