A Kincardine resident was almost the victim of fraud.
South Bruce OPP received a report of a phone scam on Monday.
According to the victim — a salesman representing himself as an employee of Solo mobile called a house and pressured the woman to try and make a sale.
But a call to Solo mobile revealed the company hadn’t made any calls to her home.
Police are warning residents to beware of high pressure, limited time offer sales tactics.
Fraudulent phone sales people sound very convincing — don’t be pressured into purchasing something you didn’t want in the first place.
