Saugeen Shores is soon to be sporting a brand new multi-use path along the picturesque Lake Huron shorelin.
Town Director of Engineering Services Dave Burnside says the 250 thousand dollar project should be ready for bikers in July.
Burnside says contractors are putting the curbing needed on the sharp curves of the route while the multi-use path off-road is being completed as well.
The path, when completed will run from North Shore Park in Port Elgin, along the shoreline to Huron Street in Southampton.
From South Street to Miramichi Bay Road the path will be on either side of the existing roadway.
Otherwise the majority of the path will be off-road where walkers and bikers can enjoy the Lake Huron Shoreline.
Burnside says the bike path construction is all part of the town’s Share the Road concept.
