Big changes are happening at the Coach Inn, in Owen Sound.
Owner Lina DiCecco says she is spending 130 to 150 thousand dollars upgrading the facility this year.
DiCecco is moving Jason’s Bar from one mainly serving alcohol, to more of a bar and grill.
She says the days of just sitting down and drinking the night away are gone, and she wants to offer a variety of food to a new clientelle.
New flooring is going in, new furniture and new fixtures.
At the same time, renovations are underway on the second and floors of the Hotel.
There will be 22 student residences on the third floor once all the work is done.
Those rooms will range from 325 to 425 dollars a month.
DiCecco says the second floor will continue to be rented out to long term tenants.
Most of the work on the main floor bar area will be done in time for a grand opening June 30th.
Work on the upper floors will be completed this summer.
