Today’s the day many of us have been waiting for for about nine months.
Summer arrived at 7:20 AM this morning.
The forecast for the season, while not written in stone, is for warmer than normal temperatures, and a bit more rain that is normal, too.
Bayshore Broadcasting Weather Specialist John Wilson says the forecast from the US national Weather Service and from Environment Canada agree that we’re going to see temperatures about a half degree Celsius warmer than usual this summer.
Last year, the temperatures wound up being about a degree colder than usual.
As for rain, you can expect more of this year than usual, according to Wilson.
