The town of Saugeen Shores is looking for 20 able-bodied persons to help make the Rotary Accessible Playground in Southampton a reality.
Community Services Director Mike Myatt says they’ve got about 100 cubic yards of cedar mulch being delivered to the park on Wednesday, June 23rd.
It needs to be spread out in the sensory garden area.
Myatt says if you have a rake and some work gloves and you want to help out, simply give either himself or Culture and Recreation Manager Jayne Jagelewski a call to sign up.
Myatt says they’re getting ever so close to the completion of the facility.
The wood fibre, the irrigation system and the cedar mulch will be put in this week.
Everything is still on schedule for the grand opening of the 350 thousand dollars facility on Monday, June 28th at 10 AM.
The accessible playground will allow all children with disabilities to play and enjoy the equipment along with everyone else.
