Meaford is hosting a special event ahead of the upcoming municipal election.
It’s a workshop and is open to any Grey Bruce resident interested in running for municipal office or school board trustee this fall.
Information will be provided on a wide range of topics including the role of elected officials.
There will be an overview of the Municipal Elections Act while key dates and election finances will also be examined.
Two representatives from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs will also be on hand to answer questions.
About 45 people have already registered for the workshop but spots are still available.
Just show up tonight at 7 PM at the North Gallery in Meaford Hall.
The municipal election is scheduled for October 25th.
