The real estate boom in Grey Bruce continues, with the average price hitting 226 thousand dollars in May.
That is the highest on record, and is 8 per cent higher than a year ago.
Grey Bruce Owen Sound Real Estate Board President Karen Cox says 241 residential properties were sold in May, which is up by 6 per cent from a year ago.
It is also the highest level of activity since August 2007.
Cox says sales remain strong but year over year gains are becoming more modest.
She expects a cooling off of the market once the HST comes into effect on July 1st.
Cox adds with interest rates starting to creep up, home sales are also likely to slow-down.
