Seems Grey County residents are an honest lot.
The OPP are reporting for the second time in just a few months — a large sum of money has been handed over to its rightful owner.
Just after dinner time Friday evening — a family noticed the vehicle in front of them drove over an object in the middle of Grey Road 170.
They stopped to investigate and it turns out it was a deposit bag containing 11 hundred dollars in cash.
They immediately contacted the OPP but before police even arrived
It was determined the money belonged to someone who had dropped off a passenger at a nearby home a short time earlier.
The rightful owner, a South Bruce Peninsula man, was contacted and the bag of cash returned.
Its similar to an incident that happened in April when more than a thousand dollars in cash was found in Markdale.
However despite the money being turned in — the owner has not yet been found.
