Hanover is taking time to remember its fallen war hero’s.
A special ‘Decoration Day’ Ceremony is taking place at 2 PM this afternoon at the Hanover Cemetery.
Legion President Dennis Cunningham says the service includes a short prayer and the laying of wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers and veterans.
Cunningham hopes to see lots of residents.
He feels it’s important to show support to our veterans and their family members.
Cunningham says like November 11th — today is a day to pay tribute to those who have served our country as well as those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Hanover has a section of its cemetery reserved strictly for soldiers and veterans.
Their grave sites are all marked with a metal maple leaf.
