June is Parks and Recreation month — and residents across Grey Bruce are being encouraged to get off the coach and get outside and be active.
Sherri Walden is the Parks and Recreation Director in Hanover.
Walden says they have a month full of activities planned.
This includes weekly Play Time in the Hanover Park every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM and Family Twonie swims on Sunday at 11 AM.
There are also set days for a Family Scavenger Hunt, a Summer Fun Club Orientation Night and a Family Fun Day.
Walden encourages residents to take advantage of the activities planned.
Walden notes by getting out — parents and children will benefit from the physical activity as well as spend quality time together.
And Walden hopes residents will be active year round.
