The Saugeen First Nation general election is set to go.
Incumbent Chief Randall Kahgee — who is going after another two year term — is being challenged by former chief Vernon Roote and by resident Michael Solomon.
It’s a huge field for band council seats.
Forty-eight people have let their names stand, including the nine incumbents who have been serving for the past two years.
Voting day is June 24th on the reserve however all mail-out ballots to off-reserve members were sent out as of May 20th.
The local polling station will be at the James Mason Memorial Cultural Centre from 9 AM to 8 PM on Thursday, June 24th.
