Residents from the Township of Chatsworth and Township of Georgian Bluffs holding a library card can use it at more locations than just their local branch.
The Bruce County Library will accept the cards this year – without additional fees.
That means anyone holding a library card in those two townships – including residents of Owen Sound – can borrow items and utilize the services of the nineteen Bruce County Library branches.
The decision was made by the Board of the Bruce County Public Library.
It has removed the remaining fee for service for those townships.
The board believes in tough economic times, because the library is such an invaluable place, borders should not be in place.
