Parents in the Walkerton area can get a glimpse of the plans for their new 21 million dollar school tonight.
A public meeting will be held on Walkerton’s Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 school.
The new consolidated school will replace Walkerton District, Walkerton Public and Brant Central schools.
The schools and the parent councils are hosting tonight’s meeting at 7 PM at Walkerton District.
Parents can see the plans and artist sketches for the school — including a triple gym, a cafetorium, more than two dozen classrooms and four technology rooms.
Bluewater board officials will also be on hand to explain the consolidation approach which will begin after the March Break.
Construction is set to begin on the Walkerton District property in June.
It’s estimated almost a thousand students will attend the school when it opens in the fall of 2012.
