The head of the Hanover and District Hospital is going to be even busier these days.
Hanover Hospital CEO Katrina Wilson has joined a provincial panel of experts on rural hospitals.
She’s been selected to serve on the Small Rural and Northern Hospitals Provincial Leadership Council.
Wilson is one of ten members that will represent all of Ontarios small, rural and northern hospitals.
This leadership council will advise the Ontario Hospital Association on issues affecting small hospitals.
This includes making recommendations in the development of healthcare policies pertaining to small, rural and northern hospitals.
Wilson says the Leadership Council will also provide great networking opportunities as members share and develop strategies on how to thrive as a small, rural or northern hospital.
Best of all Wilson says her new role will provide the Hanover and District Hospital with a strong voice.
Wilson calls it an honour to serve on the Leadership Council and looks forward to the challenge ahead.
