Some members involved with the Kincardine to Kenya Project leave the country today.
They raised funds over the last year in order to help build houses in the Village of Hope — a centre for orphans and widows.
Statistics show nearly twelve million children are without one or more parent due to death from HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Members of K2K raised more than forty thousand dollars and will assist in the building of two homes during the course of the two weeks they are in Kenya.
Each house will then house eight AIDS orphans and a surrogate parent to act as a house mother.
More details about the project can be found on line at www.kincardinetokenya.org
