If you are an entrepreneur who has found directions to start a business confusing — then you are in luck.
A new business initiative funded from the federal and provincial government is launched in Owen Sound.
BIZPAL is an online research tool for entrepreneurs searching for information on permits and licenses needed to establish and run their business.
Jane Phillips — the Manager of the Business Enterprise Centre in Owen Sound — says information now is as easy as a click of the mouse.
Phillips says it is a one stop on line service to help business star up and grow providing information for all three levels of government and what information is needed.
Phillips says once you have input the information into the site of what type of business you want to start and then the site will inform what forms need to be filled out.
Phillips adds many forms actually have their link right to the site.
Most metropolitan centres already have this service — Phillips says Owen Sound has been working on setting the site up for about a year and a half.
She hopes that people will use the site as another tool to answer any questions they may have in regarding starting a business – attracting new business to the area.
Anyone can use the BIZPAL site – not just residents of Owen Sound and Phillips hopes this clarify’s information that has often been confusing.
You can access the BIZPAL site by going to the Owen Sound city site at www.owensound.ca/business or through service www.ontario.ca
