There is another open house today on a proposed Deep Geological Repository.
It’s hosted by Nuclear Waste Management Organization and takes place at the Chesley Fire Hall from 4 PM until 8 PM tonight.
The proposal calls for a 680 metre deep vault which would house low and intermediate level radioactive waste from Ontario’s nuclear power plants will be stored underground.
It will be built at the Bruce Power Site near Tiverton.
Approval is not expected to come for at least another two years.
Meetings have already been held in Kincardine, Ripley and Walkerton, and Port Elgin.
Another session is set for tomorrow in Owen Sound at the Bayshore Community Centre.
