A couple of downtown business notes in Port Elgin.
After almost fifteen years in business, ten of which were spent in Port Elgin, Sandi’s Natural Therapy closes its doors for good today at 6 PM.
Sandi Dewar has been a part of the Saugeen Shores business community since April of 1999 – and in its current location on Goderich Street since 2001.
She sites economic reasons for the closure and thanks all of her loyal customers from years past.
Dewar will continue to spend time volunteering in Saugeen Shores – and will also turn her attention to hobbies like sculpting, and gardening.
Meanwhile – Simpson’s Fine Clothing – up for one of the 2009 Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards – has a new name and new look.
It’s been undergoing renovations since August, when the owners bought the store beside them and expanded.
The two stores are now one – with one side now known as Mensch (mench) for Him and Mensch for Her.
