The Elmwood Community Centre is hosting a public open house today.
The open house from 2 PM to 4 PM will showcase the 138 thousand dollars worth of renovations and upgrades at the Hall.
The upgrades include 4 new geo thermal furnace and air conditioning units, in floor heating, a new floor and ceiling as well as trim and paint work.
Building Committee Co-Chair Rick Monk says this has been a green project.
He says by replacing the old furnaces, for every dollar spent on hydro there will now be a four dollar savings.
Monk encourages everyone to come out and celebrate the Elmwood Community Centre’s new look.
Refreshments will be provided.
The 138 thousand dollar project was a shared venture.
45 thousand dollars was covered through the Trillium Foundation.
The municipalities of West Grey and Brockton each contributed 34 thousand.
The remaining 25 thousand was donated by the Elmwood and Chesley Saugeen Credit Unions, the CIBC bank of Chesley and the Elmwood and District Chamber of Commerce.
