Dan Gieruszak hopes some of the money can be secured to build the new medical clinic adjacent to the hospital in Walkerton.
He says it’s a “shovel ready” project that will get people working immediately.
Gieruszak says the clinic isn’t a long-term decision like a road project and he believes crews for those will be extremely busy in the coming months anyway.
He says it will be difficult to secure companies for road projects anyway, because so many municipalities will be competitively bidding, which will lead to prices for them to increase.
